this time maybe i'll be bulletproof

Hello Everyone,
It feels like forever since I've updated. This past week was Toronto Fashion Week (or LG Fashion Week), and between classes, shows and after parties, it's been a blur! I didn't end up taking any pictures at the shows, but my favourite collections were Pink Tartan, Evan Biddell, Travis Taddeo, NADA and Joe Fresh Style.
About my outfit:
  • The coat is a vintage find I bought during the summer, and I'm loving that it's chilly enough to start wearing it.
  • The oversized sweater and leather leggings are by my favourite brand Wilfred, sold in the Canadian store Aritzia. The leggings are buttery soft leather that I have been wearing almost every day, and the sweater is something I wore at a photoshoot and loved so much that I ended up buying it. Both are perfectly comfy, warm pieces for Fall/Winter that are great for layering.
  • I love the effect of the leggings with my Edelman boots, they almost remind me of the Rodarte boots from last season, where you couldn't tell if they were leggings or just really tall boots.
  • The sunglasses are Ray Ban Clubmasters, which I've wanted for a while and finally bought for myself as a pick-me-up after a recent breakup. Shopping is the best form of therapy, is it not?

Mark the Cobrasnake was in town for LG Fashion Week, and here are a couple shots from a party. Big thanks to all of you who sent me emails about them, they were so sweet and each one made my day.

I'm going to try and be less MIA in the future, but I'm currently working on a bunch of awesome new projects that I'm really excited to reveal in the next few weeks/months, so bear with me for now!
xx

Florescence

Just a little teaser from the White Sands high summer collection, Florescence.
Due in stores in December, I'm possibly squirming a little with anticipation.

a party

A party...held at the Adelphi Deck 10 Melbourne. Happy faced models with glowing skin, spent the evening downing cocktails and nibbling large pink puffs of fairy floss. Of course donned in this summers bright, fun floral prints. Guests spent the night admiring the view from the penthouse (inside and out!) as they welcomed this seasons glamorous story from Flamingo Sands.

Hotel Bondi

A tiny pocket of serenity that juts out into the Pacific Ocean, an idyllic escape from the buzzing metropolis that is Bondi, a place to watch the sunset, a place to dive into the deep green, a place where locals are happy and chirping, a place where real community is present.
The Boat Ramp... everlasting inspiration for Fern Levack and Damion Fuller creators and designers of Hotel Bondi Swim.

is it worth it? let me work it.

Aloha.

  • I am doing this post in bullet points because I am half asleep about to crash into my bed and sleep forever
  • My lack of posting is due to me being insanely sick, it has literally been once ailment following the next. Trying to balance getting better and school work, while still trying to go out every other night is next to impossible. Thankfully, I'm starting to get a bit better.
  • This week my best friend and I went to see The Gossip in concert. Officially in love with Beth Ditto, but even moreso because she came to the after party and hung around smoking and drinking with everyone. And she has amazing pink hair right now. I didn't want to sound like a complete fangirl and ask for a photo but now I really wish I had.
  • I am loving floor length skirts and dresses right now.
  • New necklaces! One is a whistle and the other is a piece I stole from my mother that I will likely never return because it is awesome and chunky and perfect.
  • When I first saw the preview for the H&M Divided Exclusive Collection, I knew I had to get this jacket. I love it and it's studded deliciousness so much that I almost never take it off.
  • This week marks the start of Toronto Fashion Week which I will be attending - I'm SO excited.

Goodnight!!

Belted

If only we all had the figure to wear such gorgeous bottoms...
The tan lines, perhaps a little less flattering.
Classic none the less.

Baby Doll

How sweet are these little numbers from Pistol Panties....

Pistol Panties made its splash into the swimwear ocean in 2009 thanks to British/Columbian designer Deborah Fleming.
An irresistible combination of unique designs, vintage fabrics and Bond girl femininity with a little bit of quirk....a product of years of cosmopolitan living. ( Fleming has resided in London, NYC, LA, Miami, Geneva...how could you not be inspired?) After completing a Fashion degree in London, Fleming worked in costume design. Dusty retro glamour film costumes the beginning of her inspiration.

Pistol Panties has the most fun little site...have a peek here.

Sun Spot

I never would have though to design a print for a keenie of white with beige polka dots....sounds so nanna and unflattering. One would have thought.
But these two make it look pretty cute I think. Suprise!
